The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board which is also known as WBJEEB has released the official notification on its official website with reference to the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Medical (WBJEEM) for session 2018 from 19th December 2017 to 19th January 2017.
WBJEEM Medical Entrance Online Form 2018
The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board aspirants who want to download the official notification of WBJEEM-2018 through the official website. It is the Common Entrance Test for admission to different degree level courses in Medical, Dental, Engineering & Technology, Pharmacy and Architecture in Universities, Government Colleges as well as Self Financing Technological Institutes in West Bengal. The candidates are informed that the notification will be uploaded on the official website very soon. We also will notify our visitors in this same regard. The examination will be conducted for the MBBS and BDS courses on 22nd April 2018.
Tentative Schedule of WBJEEM-2018:
We would like to inform our candidates that as according to the previous trends of the WBJEEB Board for WBJEEM Medical examination the official Information Brochure and Online application for the registration from 19th December 2018 to 19th January 2018. Candidates shall be able to submit their application fee till 19th January 2018. Admit card for the WBJEE for the Medical is expected to be published on 10th April 2018 (tentative) and exam is likely to be conducted on 22nd April 2018. The result of the same entrance exam shall be declared on 05th June 2018. The schedule which has been specified by us to you is tentative, and it could be vary. Information in the notification will be exact. Wait for the official notification of WBJEEM 2018.
The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) was established in the year 1962 with the purpose of holding Common Entrance Examinations for the Undergraduate Level Engineering Courses/ Medical Courses in the State of West Bengal. For the 2018 – 2019 academic session, the Board will conduct the Common Entrance Examinations WBJEEM for admission to Undergraduate Courses in Medical, Dental, Engineering & Technology, Pharmacy and Architecture in Universities, Govt. Colleges and Self-Financed Institutes in the State of West Bengal. The application for this examination will be received ONLINE and the FORM will be available at the Web-portal of the Board.
Age Limit for WBJEEM-2018 Medical:
Candidates who want to apply for the WBJEEM should not have their age less than 17 years as on date 31st December, 2018. And there is no upper age limit applicable for the candidates want to Apply for the Medical Courses MBBS and BDS.
Educational Qualification for the WBJEEM-2018 Medical:
Applicants must have passes their higher secondary or its equivalent examinations from a recognized board and must secured at least 50% aggregate marks in PCB. The candidates belonging to SC/ST category the minimum marks must be 40% and for OBC category candidates the minimum marks msut be 45%. Applicants willing to apply are also required to study English as their compulsory subject and need to secure 30% of marks in the same.
In every subject, all questions will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ-type, with four options against each of the questions) and the answer(s) to each of the questions has to be marked on the OMR. Questions will be of three categories, divided as per following table.

Note: Category 1 type of each questions carry 1 mark for the right answers and wrong answers will deduct 25% marks as negative marking will be applicable. Category 2 type of each questions carry 2 marks and 25% marks are liable to be deduct for the wrong answers as a penalty. Questions contains in category 3 are also carry 2 marks for each right answers but there are no negative marking applied.
How to apply for the WBJEEM-2018:
- First of all visit to the official website of WBJEEB.
- Locate the link related to the “Apply for the WBJEEM-2018”
- Click at the link.
- Fill up all the relevant details which are necessary and essential and submit it.
- After that after that system will generate 7 digit numerical unique application number and note down it. The candidate will also have to choose a password and also have to fill a security questions and answer which anytime could be required to retrieve the password.
- After that candidate can logout and re-login again for the purposes of editing personal information, uploading the images, printing E-challan for Bank and payment of fee, printing the confirmation page.
- Pay your required fee by the method which is available out there.
- Make the payment and then submit all the details by clicking on the “Submit” Button.
- Take a print out of the Application form for the further references.
Counselling Procedure for the Admission into the Medical and Dental Colleges through WBJEEM:
Admission to M.B.B.S. Course in Medical Colleges and B.D.S. Course in Dental Colleges will be done through e-counselling after publication of Merit List of WBJEEM-2018. Seat Allotment will be based on the rank position in the Merit List of the Joint Entrance Examination having regard to preferences for Medical or Dental Colleges and subject to passing the qualifying examination satisfying the eligibility criteria. The dates and time of the aforesaid counselling process will be notified in the website in due course. Selected candidates for both the M.B.B.S. and B.D.S. Course will have to furnish bonds giving undertaking to serve the State Government anywhere in the State for a minimum period of 3 years after passing.
