Online Applications are invited online from 01st of January 2019 to 31st January 2019 through the official website.

Online Registration with reference to Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission Notification for the 139 Posts Notified is in progress with the Deadline for Online Application Forms closing on 31/12/2019. Deadline for Payment of One Time Fee and Preliminary Examination Fee closes on 02-02-2019. Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission has scheduled the Combined Civil Services – I Prelims Examination on 03/03/2019.
TNPSC Combined Civil Services Exam Group-1 Form 2019
Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission shall conduct the Optical Mark Recognition Based Written Examination for Recruitment to the 139 Posts – Deputy Collector (Dy Coll) , Deputy Superintendent of Police – DSP (Category-I), Assistant Commissioner (Commercial Taxes) (ACCT), District Registrar (Distt Regr) (Post Code 1005), Assistant Director of Rural Development (Post code 1006), District Employment Officer (DEO) & District Officer (Fire & Rescue Service (FSC) respectively against 139 Vacancies in different Departments as cited in the Table.
Eligibility Criteria:
Age Limit (As On 01.07.2019):
Minimum Age to be attained by the Candidates for any Posts applied for 21 Years. And maximum as notified in the Attached Notification. The Candidates, therefore, are advised to carefully check out the same.
Educational Qualification:
The Candidates should possess the following or it’s Equivalent Qualification:
The Candidates should possess a Degree awarded by any of the Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or any other Educational Institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956.
Criteria for Selection:
The Selection for Appointment to the above-said Posts is purely Provisional subject to the Final Orders on pending Writ Petitions, if any, filed at Madras High Court and Madurai Bench of Madras High Court.
Procedure of Selection:
The Selection to different Posts as Notified shall be made in Three Successive Stages; viz., (i) Preliminary Examination for Selection of the Applicants for admission into the Main Written Examination (ii) Main Written Examination and (iii) an Oral Test in the Form of a Personal Interview.
The Optical Mark Recognition Based Written Examination / Preliminary Examination is meant to serve as a Screening Test only.
The Marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination by the Applicants who are declared qualified for admission into the Main Written Examination would not be counted for determining their Final Order of Merit.
The number of the Applicants to be admitted to the Main Written Examination will be 50 times the number of the Applicants to be recruited having regard to the Rule of Reservation of Appointments. However, in each Reservation Group, all the Applicants who secure the Equal Marks as that of the Cut-off Marks of their Reservation Groups shall also be admitted into the Main Written Examination, though the number of Applicants to be admitted into the Main Written Examination may exceed 1:50 Ratio.

TNPSC Group 1 Exam Pattern/Syllabus 2019
Pattern of the Optical Mark Recognition Based Written Test of CCS – I (Group – I Services) Preliminary Examination, 2019:
The T.N. Public Service Commission shall conduct the CCS – I (Group – I Services) Preliminary Examination, 2019 consisting of One Single Paper in General Studies (General Studies comprising 150 Objective-Type Multiple Choice Questions & Aptitude and Mental Ability Test containing 50 Multiple Choice Questions put together containing 200 Objective-Type Multiple Choice Questions) carrying Maximum 300 Marks with Multiple Choice Questions allotted 1½ Marks. The General Candidates shall have to secure 120 Minimum Qualifying Marks and the candidates belonging to SC’s, SC(A)’s, ST’s, MBC’s / DC’s, BC’s, BCM’s and DW’s of all Castes shall have to obtain Minimum Percentage of Marks @ 90 to be called for Main Examination and then Personality Test / Oral Test / Viva-voce.

Fee Amount:
- Registration Fee for One-Time Registration is Rs.150/-.
- Applicants who have already registered in One-Time Registration system within the validity period of 5 years are exempted.
- Those who have registered in One-Time Registration system and paid the Registration fee i.e., Rs.150/-, it is enough to pay the examination fee alone.
- Preliminary Examination Fee:- Rs. 200/-
- Main Written Examination Fee:- Rs. 200/-
