TNPSC Assistant Engineer AE Result 2018 Expected Cutoff:
This is to inform that the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) is all set to declare the Assistant Engineer (AE) Exam Result 2018 & Expected cutoff marks for the candidates very shortly. The TN Public Service Commission conducted the written exam (Paper-I & Paper-II) for recruitment of Assistant Engineer (Electrical/Civil) on 20th May 2018. In continuation of the Recruitment procedure for the post of AE, the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) will be releasing the AE (Paper-I/II) Result and expected cutoff marks very shortly.

TNPSC AE Result 2018: All the candidates, who appeared for the Computer Based Test (CBT) on 20/05/18, will be issued the Assistant Engineer Result/scorecards through the official website of tnpsc.gov.in very shortly. More information about the Tamil Nadu PSC Asstt. Engineer (Paper-1, 2) Result, AE Expected cutoff marks and the selection procedure is being given in the following paragraphs.
TNPSC Assistant Engineer 2018 Result
It has been notified by the official notification that the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) will release the AE Exam Result within 01 month from the date of commencement of examination. How to download/check Assistant Engineer Result?
- Open the official website of tnpsc.gov.in.
- Click on ‘Latest Results’ Section.
- Select the link for Assistant Engineer (Electrical/civil) Written test Result 2018.
- Click on the link and fill the mandatory information (Name & Roll No. of the candidate).
- Lastly, click on ‘Download result’ and the Asstt. Engineer Result/Scorecard will appear on the screen which can be successfully downloaded.
TSPSC Assistant Eng Expected Cutoff Marks 2018
The Assistant Engineer Written test included 2 parts: Paper-I & Paper-II. Paper-I consisted of 200 questions of 300 marks from the subject discipline of the candidates while Paper-II consisted of 100 questions of 200 marks from General Studies. In total, the written test carried 300 questions of 500 marks.
The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission has released the cutoff marks/minimum qualifying marks for the Computer Based Test (CBT). As per the minimum qualifying mark list, the candidates belonging to the SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs/ DCs, BC(OBCM)s & BCMs category will have to score more than 171 marks out of 500 marks in order to qualify the written test. The candidates belonging to other categories will have to score more than 228 marks out of 500 marks in order to qualify the written Examination.
Based upon the TNPSC Communique, the candidates will be selected/ recruited for the advertised posts of Assistant Engineer on the basis of written exam and Interview (Oral). Based upon the performance of candidates in the computer based written test and Oral Test, final merit list will be formed and the candidates will be finally selected.
