The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) with reference to All India Open Competitive Examination 2016 weighing Maximum 200 Marks with deduction of 0.25% or ¼th of the 01 Mark allotted to the Objective-Type Multiple Choice Questions for Recruitment to the Posts of Stenographers Grade ‘C’ (Group “B” Non-Gazetted) and Stenographers Grade “D” (Group “C” Non-Gazetted) as stated in the subsequent Paragraphs.

That the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) shall release within One Week of the All India Competitive Examination 2016 Stenographer Grade ‘C’ & Stenographer Grade ‘D’ being hosted all through India and  the Scanned Image of the Optical Mark Recognition Based Test Question Answers Key in Set A, Set B, Set C & Set D Series in Portable Document Format (PDF) File of the Written Part of the Stenographer (Grades ‘C’ & ‘D’) Examination 2016 of both Morning Shift / Forenoon  Session (FNS) and the Afternoon Session (ANS).

The Staff Selection Commission would stipulate the Expected Cut-Off Marks Community wise for the Candidates while preparing the Results of the SSC Grade ‘C’ & Grade ‘D’ Examination 2016 being held in Morning and Afternoon Shifts.

The Commission, based on the Candidates’ individual Performance, shall award the Marks and Shortlist the Candidates securing Minimum Marks in each Section and Aggregate Marks separately. The Candidates having secured either Equal to or Higher than the Expected Cut-Off Marks shall be shortlisted for Stenographer (Shorthand Dictation and Transcription thereof).

SSC Steno Gr-C -D Expected Cut Off 2016

We look forward to the SSC to declare towards September-end 2016 the Result of the SSC Stenographers (Grade ‘C’ & ‘D’) Examination 2016 – 17 only after publishing the Fully Solved Final Answers Key of Morning and Afternoon Shifts upon receipt of the challenges to the Answers Key in Set A, Set B, Set C, Set D Series presented by the Candidates.

The Staff Selection Commission shall stipulate the Community-wise Minimum Qualifying Marks allocated in the Stenographers (Grade ‘C’ & Grade ‘D’) Re-Scheduled Examination, 2015 while announcing the Result thereof. The Staff Selection Commission might announce in April 2016 the Result of the Stenographers (Grade ‘C’ & Grade ‘D’) Examination, 2016.

The Staff Selection Commission rescheduled Stenographers (Grade ‘C’ & Grade ‘D’) Examination, 2016, consisting of i) General Intelligence & Reasoning (50 OTMCQs), ii) General Awareness (50 MCQs) and iii) English Language and Comprehension (100 MCQs) shall attract Negative Marking of 0.25 or ¼th of the Marks for each Incorrect Answer / Response.

Selection Criteria:

The Commission shall shortlist the Candidates for the Skill Test on the basis of their respective performance in the Written Examination. The Candidates who qualify in the Stenography Skill Test would be recommended for appointment by the Staff Selection Commission on the basis of their performance in the Written Examination. Allocation of the candidates would be made to User Departments depending upon their Merit Position and the option exercised by them.

Resolution of TIE Cases:

The Staff Selection Commission would proceed to resolve TIE Cases as stated hereunder:

In case where more than one Candidate secure the Equal Aggregate Marks, TIE will be resolved by applying the following Methods one after another:

i) Marks in the Written Examination.

ii) Date of Birth, with older candidates placed Higher.

iii) Alphabetical Order in which First Names of the Candidates appear.
