Online Registration in response to the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) Notification F.No.3/2/2018-P&P-II has issue the Notification of Jr. Hindi Translator , Junior Translator, Sr. Hindi Translator & Hindi Pradhyapak  Examination Recruitment 2018 Publish on official website. Registration 6th June 2018 with the Deadline for Online Application Forms 29/06/2018 (up to 1700 Hours)] for Part-I-2 Registration.

The Staff Selection Commission shall conduct an All India Open Competitive Examination for recruitment to the Posts of Junior Hindi Translators, Junior Translators, Senior Hindi Translators and Hindi Pradhyaapak.

Selection Criteria:

Final Selection to the Posts against Post Codes A – G shall be strictly in order of Merit List drawn up by the Staff Selection Commission.

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC), based on the Candidates’ individual performance in the Written Test consisting of (Paper-I & Paper-II) of the All India Combined Recruitment of Junior Hindi Translators, Junior Translators, Senior Hindi Translators and Hindi Pradhyapak Examination, 2018 only shall shortlist for recruitment.

Allocation of the Candidates will be made to User Departments depending upon their Merit Position and the option exercised by them.

TIE Resolution:

In case where more than one candidate secures Equal Aggregates Marks (EAMs), the Staff Selection Commission shall resolve the TIE by applying the following methods one after another:

  1. The Marks in the First Part of the Written Examination.
  2. The Date of birth, with Older Candidates placed Higher.
  3. The Alphabetical Order in which First Names of the Candidates Appear.

The Staff Selection Commission would publish on the authorized Website the details regarding the Candidates’ Enrolment Numbers, Examination Venues among others.  The Commission shall release Two Weeks prior to the Date of the Combined Recruitment of Junior Hindi Translators, Junior Translators, Senior Hindi Translator & Hindi Pradhyaapak Exam, 2018, the e-Admission Tickets for the candidates.

SSC Junior Hindi Translator Syllabus 2018

Scheme and Syllabus of the Combined Recruitment of Junior Hindi Translators, Junior Translators, Senior Hindi Translator & Hindi Pradhyaapak Examination, 2018:

The Combined Recruitment of Junior Hindi Translators, Junior Translators, Senior Hindi Translator and Hindi Pradhyaapak Examination, 2018 scheduled to be hosted on the June 2018 shall be as here under:

The Procedure for Selection to different Posts consists of Paper – I in Optical Mark Recognition Based Written Test comprising the Objective-Type Multiple Choice Questions AND Paper II in Conventional Format.

Paper I comprising the Objective-Type Multiple Choice Questions from General Hindi and General English carries Total 200 Marks (General Hindi: 100 Marks + General English. 100 Marks). The Part provides for Negative Marking of 0.25 Marks or ¼th Marks for each Wrong Answer.

Paper II comprising Language Translation Essay writing carrying Maximum 200 Marks shall be conducted in the Conventional Format.

The Staff Selection Commission shall evaluate the Paper II of those candidates who shall attain Minimum Qualifying Marks likely to be determined by the Staff Selection Commission at their discretion.

SSC Junior Hindi Translator (JHT) Application Form 2018

The Staff Selection Commission shall exercise their sole discretion to stipulate the Minimum Qualifying Marks in respect of Paper II of the said Recruitment Test.

C Junior Translator in Armed Forces Headquarters (AFHQ)
D Junior Translator / Junior Hindi Translator in Subordinate Offices who have adopted Model RRs of DoP&T for JT/JHT
E Senior Hindi Translator in various Central Government Ministries/ Departments / Offices
F Junior Translator / Junior Hindi Translator in Subordinate Offices who have not yet adopted Model RRs of DoP&T for JT/JHT
G Hindi Pradhyaapak in Central Hindi Training Institute (CHTI)

SSC Jr Hindi Translator (JHT) Eligibility Criteria: 2018

Age Limit (As on 2018):

General Candidates must not exceed 30 Years. Relaxation in Upper Age Limits for the candidates belonging to other Reserved Categories.

Educational & Other Essential Qualifications:

For Post Codes “A to D”:

Master’s Degree of a Recognized University in Hindi with English as a Compulsory or Elective Subject or as the medium of Examination at the Degree Level;

OR

Master’s Degree of a Recognized University in English with Hindi as a Compulsory or Elective Subject or as the medium of Examination at the Degree Level;

OR

Master’s Degree of a Recognized University in any Subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi Medium and English as a Compulsory or Elective Subject or as the Medium of an Examination at the Degree Level;

OR

Master’s Degree of a Recognized University in any Subject other than Hindi or English, with English medium and Hindi as a Compulsory or Elective Subject or as the medium of Examination at the Degree Level;

OR

Master’s Degree of a Recognized University in any Subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi and English as Compulsory or Elective Subjects or either of the two as a medium of Examination and the other as a Compulsory or Elective Subject at Degree Level

AND

Recognized Diploma or Certificate Course in Translation from Hindi to English & vice versa or Two (02) Years ‟experience of translation work from Hindi to English and vice versa in Central / State Government Office” including Government of India Undertaking.

For the Post Codes “E‟:

(Senior Hindi Translator in various Central Government Ministries / Departments / Offices)

Master’s Degree of a Recognized University in Hindi with English as a Compulsory or Elective Subject or as the Medium of Examination at the Degree Level;

OR

Master’s Degree of a Recognized University in English with Hindi as a Compulsory or Elective Subject or as the medium of Examination at the Degree Level;

OR

Master’s Degree of a Recognized University in any Subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi Medium and English as a Compulsory or Elective Subject or as the Medium of an Examination at the Degree Level;

OR

Master’s Degree of a Recognized University in any Subject other than Hindi or English, with English Medium and Hindi as a Compulsory or Elective Subject or as the Medium of Examination at the Degree Level;

OR

Master’s Degree of a Recognized University in any Subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi and English as Compulsory or Elective Subjects or either of the Two as a Medium of Examination and the other as a Compulsory or Elective Subject at Degree Level.

AND

Recognized Diploma or Certificate Course in Translation from Hindi to English & Vice-versa or Three Years’ Experience of Translation Work from Hindi to English and vice-versa in Central / State Government Office, including Government of India Undertaking.

For Post Code ‘F’:

(Junior Translator / Junior Hindi Translator in subordinate offices who have not yet adopted Model RRs of DoP&T for JT/JHT):

Master’s Degree of a Recognized University in Hindi or English with English or Hindi as a Compulsory or Elective Subject at Degree Level,

OR

Bachelor’s degree with Hindi and English as main Subjects (which includes the Term Compulsory and Elective)

The Candidates are advised ensure that they have studied English and Hindi as Main Subjects and not a Paper in all the Three Years of Bachelor of Arts pass Course.

For Post Code ‘G’:

(Hindi Praadhyapak in Central Hindi Training Institute)

(i) Bachelor’s Degree in Hindi with English as one of the Subjects at Degree Level either as Compulsory or Optional from any recognized University / Institute plus Master’s Degree in any Subject from any recognized University / Institute Plus Bachelor of Education from a recognized University/Institute.

OR

(ii) Bachelor’s Degree in any Subject from any recognized University / Institute plus Master’s Degree in Hindi with English as one of the Subjects at Degree Level either as Compulsory or Optional from any recognized University / Institute Plus Bachelor of Education from a recognized University/Institute.

Mode of Payment of Fee Payable: Rs.100/- (Rupees One Hundred only).
