SSC JE Paper 2 Result 2018The Staff Selection Commission shall Host on the 29th Date of April 2018 Paper II of Junior Engineer (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical Quantity Surveying & Contract) Examination 2017 carrying 300 Marks for Selection to the Posts of JR (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical).

The Staff Selection Commission will Announce the Result for Paper II of Junior Engineer (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical Quantity Surveying & Contract) Examination 2017 based on the Candidates’ Individual Performance and the Marks Obtained therein.

SSC Jr Engineer Exam 2018 Expected Cut-off Marks Download 

The Staff Selection Commission shall Determine the Category-wise Minimum Qualifying Marks to be Obtained by the Candidates in Paper – II to be considered Eligible for Shortlisting for Personal Interview.  The Candidates shall need to Secure the Minimum Qualifying in the respective Domain / Discipline (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical).  Only Candidates having Secured the Minimum Qualifying Marks will be called for Personal Interview / Viva-voce to be held following Announcement of the Result for Paper II of Junior Engineer (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical Quantity Surveying & Contract) Examination 2017.

Paper – II shall span 03-Hours  Examination Duration aimed at Shortlisting the Candidates for Personal Interview carrying 100 Marks.

Examination Duration:  02 Hours for Paper – I & 02 Hours for Paper-II:

The Staff Selection Commission shall Conduct Paper-II of Junior Engineers (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, & Quantity Surveying & Contract) Examination 2017 of Conventional Type consisting of 03 Parts based on General Engineering (Part A – Civil & Structural Engineering, Paper B – Electrical Engineering & Part C – Mechanical Engineering) carries 300 Marks.

Part B- General Engineering (Electrical)

Part C- General Engineering (Mechanical)

Criteria for Selection:

Selection to the Post of Junior Engineers (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, & Quantity Surveying & Contract) Examination 2017 shall be Strictly in order of Merit Determined taking into consideration the Un-Reserved Candidates Secured Category-wise Minimum Qualifying Marks in each Paper (Paper I for 200 Marks & Paper II for 300 Marks) and Sufficient High Marks out of Total 500 Marks followed by Personal Interview for 100 Marks taken together 600 Marks.   

Final Selection to the Post of Junior Engineers (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, & Quantity Surveying & Contract) 2017 – 18 shall be Strictly Based on Merit drawn up taking into consideration the Un-Reserved Candidates’ Overall Performance and Sufficient High Marks in both Competitive Written Examination and Personal Interview.

Selection Criteria:

Selection of the Candidates the Posts notified by the Staff Selection Commission shall be strictly in order of Final Merit to be determined by the Staff Selection Commission.

The Candidates will be Shortlisted for Interview on the basis of their Total Marks obtained in the Written Examination in Paper – I & II.

The Candidates on the Final Merit List drawn up Category-wise will be Recommended for Appointment by the Staff Selection Commission on the basis of the Total Marks in the Written Examination and Interview.

Resolution of TIE Cases:

In the case where more than one Candidate secures Equal Aggregates Marks, The Commission will Resolve TIE  by applying the following Methods one after another:

  1. Total Marks in the Written Examination.
  2. Marks in Paper – II.
  3. Marks in Paper – I.
  4. Date of Birth, with Senior / Older Candidates, placed higher.
  5. Alphabetical Order in the First Names of the Candidates Appear
