SSC JE Question Paper Analysis 23th Jan 2018: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) SSC successfully executed the Junior Engineer written exam (paper-I) exam on 23rd January 2018 with the view of recruiting Mechanical/civil and electrical engineers and will be releasing the JE exam 2018 answer key, question paper and expected cutoff marks on their official website very shortly.

SSC JE Answer Key 23.01.2018

According to the official Notification by SSC, the Junior Engineer (Mech./Civil/Elec.) Exam tier-1 is organised to be conducted from 22nd January 2018 to 29th January 2018. On 23rd January 2017, the JE exam was conducted in Morning and Evening shifts (Online mode only) and the candidates will soon be furnished with the SSC Jr. Engineer Answer key /paper analysis and expected cutoff marks by ssc.nic.in. The Official Commission will very soon release the JE Morning & Evening Shift exam answer key through their official website. SSC releases the official Answer key after 15 days of the date of written exam.

SSC JE Question Asked ON 23rd Jan 2018 (Morning | Evening Shift)

The Junior engineer (Mech./Civil/Elec.) Exam Paper-1 was conducted in Online Computer Based Mode on 23 January 2018. The exam was divided in 3 sections which consisted a total 200 marks. First section was of General Reasoning & Intelligence which included 50 questions of 50 marks, Second sec. was of General Awareness that again included 50 ques. of 50 marks and the third sec. which was Subject based included 100 questions of 100 marks. The candidates were given a total time of 2 hours to complete the written examination.

SSC JE Expected Cutoff Marks 2018

Only those candidates will be eligible to appear for SSC Tier-2 exam that will score qualifying marks in JE tier-1 exam. The JE exam was conducted for 200 marks but till now, the official tier-1 expected cutoff marks are not been determined by the Commission till now. It is at the discretion of SSC to decide the Jr. Engineer tier-1 minimum qualifying marks/cutoff marks which is expected to be released soon.

Modality of Selection for SSC JE (Mech. /Civil/Elec.) 2018

The very first step in the selection procedure of SSC JE (Mech. /Civil/Elec.) is qualifying the tier-1 exam.  The candidates are required to score qualifying marks in SSC JE paper-I to be eligible to appear for Paper-2. The same criterion holds for SSC JE Paper-2. All the candidates who qualify both the written exams will be shortlisted by the Commission and a Merit list will be prepared. As per the merit list, the candidates will be  the candidates will be shortlisted and based upon the  ranks of candidates in the Merit list the final recruitment will be done.

    SSC JE Paper I will have 200 questions and a composite time of 120 minutes will be given to attempt the paper. So, you will basically have approximately 40 seconds per question. Let’s take a look at few time management tips for each section that will help you divide your time in the most efficient way.
    SSC JE Time Management Tips – General Intelligence & Reasoning
    ” This section will need your special attention as it is quite tricky. There will be 50 questions asked in this section each worth 1 mark.
    ” It is adviced not to give more than 45(first round 35 minutes)min to this section.
    ” Having few tricks up your sleeves will help you save a lot of time.
    ” If you are having a problem in solving any question, we advice you to leave it for that moment and if the time permits attempt that question in the end.
    ” Practice Online Mock tests to improve your speed and accuracy.
    ” Questions will be asked on analogies, similarities, differences, space visualization, problem-solving, analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory etc.
    SSC JE Time Management Tips – General Awareness
    ” This section is less time consuming comparatively if you are well prepared. There will be 50 questions asked in this section each worth 1 mark.
    ” If you are well prepared in this section, it would take you not more than 10-15 minutes in attempting the entire section.
    ” Attempt even if you are 50% sure about the question.
