Reserve Bank of India Officers Grade B Exam 2019 Syllabus, Admit Card, Exam Dates:
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has issue Notification to invite Online Application Form from the Indian nationals for recruitment of Officers in Grade ‘B’ (General) – Direct Recruitment – (DR). The Online Registration commence soon (for Gr B DR General) and (for DEPR /DSIM).
The Reserve Bank of India shall conduct Combined Written Examination (Phase-I Online Examination) and Phase-II Online Examination depending on the number of the applicants/candidates. Depending on the number of candidates, the examination may be held by the Reserve Bank of India on some other days also.

The Reserve Bank of India not intimate about the date for generating the Admission Certificates / Hall Examination Tickets yet. RBI Selection Procedure:
The Reserve Bank of India shall select the candidates through Examinations (Phase – I Objective Type Online Test and Phase – II Descriptive Type Test) followed by an Interview.
Final selection will be based on the performance of the candidate in Phase-II of the Examination and Interview put together.
Officers in Grade ‘B’ (General) – Direct Recruitment – (DR) Exam, 2019 Pattern & Syllabus:
The Reserve Bank of India shall hold the Examinations in two phases [Phase-I Online Examination (Objective Type) and Phase-II Written Examination (Descriptive type).
Phase-I Online Examination (Objective Type):
The Phase – I, having an Objective Type Test Online Examination shall consist of FOUR (04) Papers; i.e., i) General Awareness ii) English Language iii) Quantitative Aptitude and iv) Reasoning.
This Paper carrying a maximum of 200 marks shall be of the composite time of 130 minutes. Other detailed information regarding the examination will be furnished in an Information Handout, which will be made available for the candidates to download along with the Admission letter for examination from the RBI website.
Phase-II Written Examination (Descriptive Type):
The Phase-II comprising a Written Examination (WE) will be conducting soon only for those candidates who are shortlisted for the same.
The Examination will consist of three Descriptive Type papers, viz., (i) Paper-I: English (ii) Paper II: Economic and Social Issues and (iii) Paper III: Finance and Management. Each of these papers carrying 100 marks shall be of 3 hours’ duration.
Phase-I (except the test of English) and Papers II and III of Phase-II will be set bilingually in Hindi and English. Phase-I will be Online (Objective Type) Examination and only mark the correct choice is required. However, the candidates shall have the option of answering Papers II and III of Phase-II either wholly in Hindi or in English.
(i) The Paper I – English: Essay, Précis writing, Comprehension and Business / Office Correspondence.
(ii) Paper II – Economic and Social Issues: Growth and Development – Measurement of Growth: National Income and per capita income – Poverty Alleviation and Employment Generation in India – Sustainable Development and Environmental issues. Economic Reforms in India – Industrial and Labor Policy – Monetary and Fiscal Policy – Privatization – Role of Economic Planning. Globalization – Opening up of the Indian Economy – Balance of Payments, Export-Import Policy – International Economic Institutions – IMF and World Bank – WTO – Regional Economic Co-operation. Social Structure in India – Multiculturalism – Demographic Trends – Urbanization and Migration – Gender Issues – Social Justice: Positive Discrimination in favor of the underprivileged – Social Movements – Indian Political System – Human Development – Social Sectors in India, Health and Education.
(iii) Paper III – Finance and Management:

(III) Interview: The Reserve Bank of India would shortlist the candidates for interview based on the aggregate marks obtained by them only in Phase II – Papers I, II and III.
RBI Officers Grade B Exam Minimum Cut off Marks / Qualifying Marks
The Reserve Bank of India Board shall decide the minimum cut off marks for shortlisting the candidates for interview in relation to the number of vacancies.
The candidates may opt for Interview either in Hindi or English. Final selection will be based on the performance of the candidate in Phase-II of the Examination and Interview took together.
