The Jammu And Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) is to declare shortly the Results of the OMR based Written Examinations for the Posts of a) Range Officer (Soil Conservation) Grade-I 2015; b) Lecturer Physical Education in Technical Education / Youth services and Sports Department, scheduled for the 29th of November 2015 (29.11.2015). Downloading of the e-Admit Cards for the upcoming Screening Tests for the forecited Posts is in progress. Hence, the candidates presumably not able to download their respective e-Hall Tickets / Admission Certificates are advised to download the same through Clicking on the Admittance Cards Web Link displayed at the closing of our Write-Up.

JKPSC Ranger Officer & Lecturer Results 2015 

The Jammu And Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) is to announce by the 20th of December 2015 (20.12.2015) the Result of the Screening Test for the Posts of a) Range Officer (Soil Conservation) Grade-I 2015; b) Lecturer Physical Education in Technical Education / Youth services and Sports Department

The JK Public Service Commission shall determine the Category-wise Expected Cut-Off Marks / Community-wise Minimum Qualifying Marks while declaring the Optical Mark Recognition Based Written Examination for 01) Range Officer (Soil Conservation) Grade-I 2015; 02) Lecturer Physical Education in Technical Education / Youth services and Sports Department.

Selection Criteria:

The JK Public Service Commission shall carry out the Recruitment of the candidates as stated in its Notification and; hence, being Repeated here under:

Range Officer (Soil Conservation) Grade-I 2015

  1. Written Test carrying 600 Marks
  2. Viva-voce carrying 100 Marks
  3. Walking Test of Qualifying Nature
  4. Medical Examination to certify the Medical Fitness of the Candidates prior to Final Induction

Viva voice:

The candidates who obtained minimum of 40% Marks in each Subject / Paper shall be called for the Viva- voce. The Viva-voce shall carry 100 Marks

Lecturer Physical Education in Technical Education / Youth services and Sports Department, 2014 – 2015:

Shortlisting through a Written Screening Test:

Where the number of Applicants exceeds 350 against Posts not exceeding 100 and where the number of applicants is more than 03 times against vacancies exceeding 100, the shortlisting in the proportion of (01 Post): (03 Applicants) shall be done through a Written Screening Test.

Shortlisting by other Methods When the number of applicants for Posts up to 100 is 350 or less, the shortlisting shall be done in the proportion indicated in the sub-joined Table on the basis of:

  1. Percentage of Marks secured in the Qualifying Examination; and
  2. Higher Qualification, if any, in the relevant Subject.
  1. For 01 – 05 Posts: Five times the number of Posts
  2. For 06 – 10 Posts Four times the number of Posts subject to Minimum 25.
  3. For 11 – 100 Posts Three times subject to Minimum 40.

Provided that the candidate(s) who have secured the Marks Equal To those secured by the Last Candidate, shall also be called for the Interview over and above the number of the Candidates shortlisted according to ii (a) and ii (b) above.

In a situation, when a reserved Category Candidate secures Merit Equal To or above the Cut-Off Merit, in the Open Category, such candidates shall also be called for the Personality Test / Personal Interview in the respective Category.

In the shortlisting carried out in the manner indicated at ‘b’ above the Weight age for Merit in the Qualifying Examination shall be 90% and for Higher Qualification in the relevant Subject up to 10%

(iii) The Marks secured by the candidates in the Screening Test shall not be taken into account for determining the Final Order Of Merit.
