The https://edunews.xyz/ would like to brief the candidates in respect of the Ministry of Defence Notification for Recruitment of the Male and Female Candidates to the Posts of Assistant Commandants in i) General Duty; ii) General Duty (Pilot) to be subsequently promoted to the Post of Officers – Join Indian Coast Guards Assistant Commandant (Group ‘A’ Gazetted Officers).

Online Registration in response to the Ministry of Defense (MoD) Integrated Head Quarters Notification for induction of the Successful Man / Woman Candidates has commenced w.e.f. the 13th of May 2017 with the Deadline for Online Application Forms ending on the 20th of May 2017.
Join Indian Coast Guard Admit Card / Call Letter 2017
The Ministry of Defence, the Indian Coast Guard (ICG) Services Selection Board (SSB), upon detailed scrutiny of the Applications received from the Candidates and their Performance and Marks secured in the Qualifying Examinations shall release the e-Call-Up / Call-up Letters for various stages of the Test conducted by the Services Selection Board (SSB). The Services Selection Board (SSB) shall host Personal Interviews for the Shortlisted Candidates later.
The Services Selection Board (SSB) shall intimate through e-mail Id & SMS (provided by the Candidates in their Application Form) the Shortlisted Candidates about their Selection for the SSB Interview.
The Services Selection Board would conduct various Stages of the Tests for grant of Short Service Commission (SSC) for a period of initially 08 Years and then 10 Years and subsequently extendable up to 14 Years (08 + 02 + 04 Years) in the Indian Coast Guard Wing for the Course commencing in January 2017.
The Integrated Head Quarters, Indian Coast Guard (Ministry of Defence), while Shortlisting the Applications to wire Call-up, shall accord Priority to the Candidates with Higher Percentage of the Marks in the Bachelor’s Degree.
The Candidates are advised to choose any one Branch in consistency with the Eligibility Criteria and any one Examination Center mentioned in the Detailed Advertisement.

Only those Candidates who might have cleared their respective Final Year / Final Semester Examinations and completed their Degrees are Eligible to apply.
The Candidate should hold a Bachelor’s Degree of Recognized University with Minimum 60% Marks In Aggregate with Mathematics and Physics as Subjects up to Senior Secondary / Intermediate or Class XII of 10+2+3 Scheme of the Education Or Equivalent with 60% Aggregate Marks in Mathematics & Physics [Candidates not in possession of Physics & Mathematics in 10 + 2 (Intermediate) Level Or Equivalent are not Eligible for General Duty (GD) & General Duty (Pilot / Navigator)]

Note*: In case of the Post of General Duty, the Candidates should have been born between the 1st of July 1988 and the 30th of June 1997 (Both Dates Inclusive).

Procedure for Selection:
|Stage I||Shortlisting of the Candidate’s Application:
Shortlisting of the Candidates for Call-up shall be based on Higher Percentage of the Marks secured by the Candidates in the Qualifying Examination (Minimum 55% or Higher), which might be raised in case of the Applications from the Candidates with even higher Marks were received. Such shortlisted Candidates shall be summoned for the Aptitude Test (in English Medium). The Preliminary Test shall consist of Mental Ability Test / Cognitive Aptitude Test and Picture Perception & Discussion Test (PP&DT).
|Stage II||Final Selection:
The Candidates qualifying the Preliminary Selection shall be called for Final Selection. The Date and Venue for the Final Selection will be uploaded on the Indian Coast Guard Website. The Final Selection will consist of Psychological Test (PT), Group Task (GT) and Personal Interview (Personality Test) leading to preparation of the Final Merit List and Result.

The Candidates declared QUALIFIED in Phase I shall be allowed to appear in Phase II. The Candidates declared NOT QUALIFIED in the Phase I of the Test would be sent back forthwith.

The Successful Candidates shall be put to Medical Examination that would be held during 03 – 05 Days.
