HP Range Forest Officer Exam Result 2017 Download Expected Cut Off Marks:

Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HP PSC) shall declare before December-end 2017 / January 2018 the Result for the Range Forest Officer Class II Examination 2017 held on the 29th of October 2017 for Recruitment to 50 Posts of Range Forest Officer Class II (Gazette) (Contractual) [Range Forest Officer, Class-II(Gazetted) (on Contract basis)].

HP Public Service Commission conducted the Competitive Written Examination consisting of Two Parts (i.e., Part – I having 02 Competitive Papers for 200 Marks and 02 Optional Papers for 400 Marks) for Recruitment to the Post of HP PSC RFO Class II (Gazetted) (Contractual Basis) to be followed by Physical Standard Test and Personal Interview / Personality Test. 

HP Range Forest Officer Exam Result 2017

Public Service Commission, Himachal Pradesh will declare the Result for Range Forest Officer Class – II (Gazetted) (Contractual Basis) based on the Candidates’ Individual Performance and Marks obtained in the Competitive Examination.  Only Candidates having secured Minimum Qualifying Marks in each Part and in Aggregate of the Compulsory Paper and Optional Paper shall be considered ‘Shortlisted’ for the Physical Standard Test to follow subsequent to Declaration of the Result of the Written Examination.

Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission, post-Announcement of the Result, will upload on the Official Website for the ready reference of the Candidates.  The Candidates Shortlisted in the Range Forest Officer Class II Examination shall be called for the Physical Standard Test of Qualifying Sort and those declared Successful in the Physical Standard Test would be called for Personal Interview / Personality Test for Recruitment to the Post of Range Forest Officer (RFO), Class-II (Gazetted) (on Contractual Basis) in the Department of Forests, Himachal Pradesh.

No Candidate shall be considered to have qualified the Optical Markup Reader Based Written Examination / Written Test unless he / she obtains at least 40% Marks (80 Marks) in each Compulsory Papers (200 Marks) and 45% Marks (90 Marks) in Aggregate.

The Ranking will be decided on the basis of the Marks obtained in all Compulsory and Optional Papers excluding the Marks in English Paper though it would be necessary to obtain 40% Marks in each Optional paper to Qualify.

The Final Ranking shall be determined on the basis of the Marks obtained by the Candidates in the Main Examination (Written Examination as well as Personal Interview / Personality Test).

Methodology for Resolving TIE: 

Provided that in case there arises TIE between or amongst the Candidates on account of having obtained Equal Minimum Qualifying Marks obtained in the Optical Markup Reader Based Written Examination, then all such Candidates shall be called for the Personal Interview / Personality Test.

The Names of the Candidates, who are called for the Personal Interview / Personality Test, shall be arranged in order of Merit on the basis of Aggregate Marks obtained in the Optical Markup Reader Based Written Examination.

In the event of TIE, order of Merit shall be determined in accordance with the Highest Marks secured by a Candidate in Personal Interview / Personality Test and if the Marks in the Personal Interview / Personality Test are also Equal, then the order of Merit shall be decided in accordance with the Highest Marks obtained by such Candidates in the Compulsory Papers and if the Marks in Aggregate of the Compulsory papers are also Equal, then the Elder Candidate shall be placed Higher in the Merit. 

Procedure for Selection: 

RFO Class II Examination for 600 Marks

The Candidates, who will qualify (with the Category-wise Minimum Qualifying Marks to be obtained in each Paper and in Aggregate out of 600 Marks) the Optical Markup Reader Based Written Examination / Written Test consisting of 02 Compulsory Papers (each for 100 Marks) and Two Optional Papers (each for 200 Marks) Aggregating 600 Marks with Negative Marking involved in the Objective Competitive Examination shall be called for Physical Standard Test  (PST) of Qualifying Sort and the Candidates Five Times of the number of the Vacancies shall be declared Successful in the Optical Markup Reader Based Written Examination.

The Optical Markup Reader Based Written Test shall consist of 02 (Two) Compulsory Papers (General Knowledge & General English each for 100 Marks) for 200 Marks and Two Optional Papers (Agriculture, Botany, Chemistry, Computer Applications / Computer Science, Agriculture Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Science, Forestry, Geology, Horticulture, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Veterinary Science & Zoology each carrying 200 Marks) Aggregating 400 Marks.
