The Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education is to issue towards November-end 2016, a formal Notification to invited Online Applications from the Indian Nationals and the candidates reserved under the NRI Category. Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) / Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) cardholders shall also be considered eligible for admissions to the seats under NRI Category for the reserved seats. The Foreign Nationals need to apply to the Government of India for admission.

The Government of Goa, Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GBS&HSE) has formally announced the conduct of the Goa Common Entrance Test (GCET) 2017 Schedule for admission stated in the Table.

The Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education shall conduct the GCET 2017 for the candidates for admissions into Professional courses Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery   (MBBS), Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS), Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS), Bachelor of Ayurveda Medicine & Surgery (BAMS.)*, Allied Health Sciences (AHS) (BPT, BOT, B. Opt, B.Sc.MIT, B.Sc.A.T.) B.Sc. in Nursing (at the Institute of Nursing Education, Bambolim), B.E. & B.Pharm. in Goa for the Academic Year 2017-18 based on the GCET 2017. The GCET which shall be held at various Centers, across Goa State as per following schedule.

 GOA GCET Entrance Apply Online 2017:

Admissions into B.Arch. Course shall be based on the Scores obtained at National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA), conducted by the Council of Architecture, and Qualifying Examination (XIIth Standard / HSSC).

The Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education shall shortly publish In the GCET 2017 Admission Prospectus / Information Bulletin the detailed Information regarding the Admission Process, Schedule, Eligibility Criteria, Merit List Preparation, and other relevant details shall be duly notified for admission into First Year MBBS, BDS, BHMS, AHS & B.Sc. in Nursing • MBBS, BDS, BHMS & AHS.

Eligibility Conditions for GCET 2017

Nationality: Admission into professional courses in State of Goa is open to the Indian nationals fulfilling the Eligibility Criteria under various categories. Non-Resident Indians holding Indian Passport are also apply for seats reserved under the NRI Category. Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) / Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) cardholders shall also be considered eligible for admissions to the seats under NRI Category. The Foreign Nationals need to apply to the Government of India for admission.

Minimum Age Limit (As on 31.12.2016):

An applicant seeking admission into Degree Courses in Medicine, Dentistry, Homoeopathy Allied Health Sciences and Nursing must have competed the age of 17 years on or before the 31st of December 2016 (31.12.2016) of the Academic Year of admission to be eligible for admission into First Year.

There is No Age Limit (Minimum or Maximum), specified for admission in to Engineering, Pharmacy and Architecture.

Educational Qualification:

For admission into the Degree Courses in Medicine, Dentistry, Engineering, Pharmacy, Homoeopathy, Allied Health Sciences and Nursing, he / she must have appeared and obtained valid score at the Goa Common Entrance Test (GCET) conducted by the Government of Goa for the Year of Admission.
First Year MBBS, BDS, BHMS, AHS & B.Sc. in Nursing

 

•MBBS, BDS, BHMS & AHS

The candidates must have completed the Higher Secondary Certificate (Std. XII) Examination of Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GBS&HSE) or its Equivalent Examination with English and must have secured at least 50% marks in the aggregate of subjects of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) taken together. (40% for the Applicants belonging to SC, ST and OBC Category only and 45% for the applicants belonging to the PH Category for MBBS and BDS Course).
B.Sc. in Nursing Applicants should have passed HSSC with Minimum 50% aggregate Marks, as well as must have secured 50% aggregate Marks in English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology (EPCB) for General Category, (45% aggregate Marks in all Subjects for the candidates belonging to the SC/ST Category, as well as Minimum. 50% aggregate marks in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology (EPCB).
First Year B.E. The applicant should have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (XIIth Std.) Examination of the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its Equivalent Examination with English, Physics and Mathematics (EPM) as compulsory Subjects with one of the following Subjects Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Computer Science / Biology, and he / she must have obtained at least 45% Marks in aggregate of the Subjects of Physics & Mathematics with one of the Subjects Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Computer Science / Biology. (40% for the Applicants belonging to SC, ST and OBC Category only).
First Year B. Pharm. The Applicant should have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (12th Standard) Examination of the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its Equivalent Examination with English, Physics and Chemistry (EPC) as the compulsory Subjects with one of the following Subjects Mathematics / Bio-Technology / Computer Science / Biology, and must have obtained at least 45% marks in aggregate of Subjects of Physics & Chemistry with one of the Subjects Mathematics / Bio-Technology / Computer Science / Biology. (40% for the Applicants belonging to SC, ST and OBC Category only). As per Pharmacy Council of India Regulations, the candidates passing Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by National Open School, New Delhi are not approved/eligible for admissions to B. Pharm.
First Year B.Arch.: The Applicant should have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (Twelfth) Examination of the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its Equivalent Examination with Mathematics as one of the Subjects and must have obtained at least 50% marks in aggregate (45% aggregate marks for the SC/ST/OBC Applicants).
OR
10+3 Diploma (any stream) recognized by Central/State Governments with 50% aggregate marks.
OR
International Baccalaureate Diploma, after 10 years of Schooling, with not less than 50% marks in aggregate and with Mathematics as a compulsory Subject of Examination.
The Applicants scoring minimum 80/200 at NATA will be eligible for admission to B.Arch., provided NATA Score is obtained by answering NATA Examination before the Last Date of submission of the Admission Form.
Kashmiri Migrants Only in Engineering Courses:
The Applicant should have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (Class XII) Examination or its Equivalent Examination with English, Physics and Mathematics (EMP) as Compulsory Subjects with one of the Subjects; viz., Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Computer Science / Biology and he / she should have secured at least 45% Marks in the Subjects of Physics & Mathematics with one of the Subjects; i.e., Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Computer Science / Biology.

Goa GCET Admit Card 2017

The Contenders, who are going to appear in the Goa Common Entrance Test 2017, can download hall ticket before 2 weeks of examination. Admit card can be downloaded by using registration number, date of birth or password. Call letter will be available soon on the official web portal. All details about examination such as exam date, time & exam center will be available on the admit card.

Goa GCET Results 2017

The Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education will declare the GCET entrance exam results after the completion of the exam at the immediately possible through the university website. Appeared candidates can check and download the results by the use of hall ticket number and date of birth.

Goa GCET MBBS BDS Counseling 2017

After the final results of the entrance test, Board shall notify the counseling dates through the public notice on the notice board and university website. All colleges release their cutoff through several numbers of counseling. For all counseling details, students shall be at the counseling venue to confirm their seats in any particular college in particular course. Students can visit the university website for all information regarding counseling and seats in colleges, courses, and fee for the courses. After all counseling process, Organization will release the final list of the candidates.
