Railway Recruitment Cell, Central Railway Trade Apprentices Engagement 2017 – 2018 – 2020: Online Registration in response to Railway Recruitment Cell (Central Railway) Notification in respect of Engagement of Apprentices under the Apprentices Act 1961 over Central Railway in different Trades for a period of 01-Year / 02-Years is in progress w.e.f. the 1st of November 2017 (01.11.2017) with the Last Date for Online Application Forms closing on the 30th of November 2017 (30.11.2017).

Minimum Educational Qualification:
The Candidate must have passed Higher Secondary Certificate Examination / High School Certificate Examination / Secondary School Certificate Examination (Xth Standard) or its Equivalent (under 10+2 Examination System) with Minimum 50% Marks, in Aggregate, from the Board of Secondary Education recognized by the Central Government / State Government and also possess National Trade Certificate (NTC) in the notified Trade issued by the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) or Provisional Certificate (PC) issued by National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) / State Council for Vocational Training (SCVT).
Age Limitation (As On 01.11.2017):
General (Un-Reserved) Candidates should have completed 15 Years and must not exceed 24 Years of Age.
Relaxation in Upper Age Limitations for Reserved Candidates.
Strictly based on Merit Trade-wise.
A Final Merit List will be prepared Cluster / Unit-wise, Trade-wise and Community-wise, Equal to the number of the Slots in the Descending Order of the Percentage of the Marks obtained by the Candidate, as stated herein above.
The Candidates Finally Enlisted would be subject to Verification of the Original Testimonials (Certificates / Documents) and being Declared / Found Fit in the appropriate Medical Examination conducted by the Railways as applicable for the Workshop and for the other Units.
During Submission of ONLINE Application, a Registration Number will be issued to each Applicant. The Candidates are advised to Preserve / Note their respective Registration Number for further Stages of Recruitment Process / Correspondence with the Railway Recruitment Cell, Central Railway, Mumbai.
RRCCR Central Railway Trade Apprentice Merit List 2017
Selection to the Trade applied for by the Candidates shall be on the basis of the Merit List prepared in respect of all the Candidates, who apply against the Notification. The Merit List will be drawn up based on the basis of Percentage of the Marks obtained in Secondary School Certificate Examination / High School Certificate Examination (Matriculation) (with Minimum 50% (Aggregate Marks) + Industrial Training Institute Marks in the Trade in which Apprenticeship is to be done. The Panel will be on the basis of Simple Average of the Marks in Matriculation and the Industrial Training Institute Trade.
For the purpose of Calculation of the Percentage of Matriculation, the Marks obtained by the Candidates in all Subjects shall be reckoned and not on the basis of the Marks of any Subject or a Group of the Subjects.
For the purpose of Calculation of the Percentage of the Industrial Training Institute Marks, Average Marks mentioned in the Consolidated Statement of the Marks for all Semesters of the Trade Applied / Marks mentioned in the Provisional National Trade Certificate issued by National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) / State Council for Vocational Training (SCVT) will only be reckoned.
For the purpose of Calculation of the Percentage of the Marks of the Secondary School Certificate Examination of the Candidates from the Board of Secondary Education Andhra Pradesh (BSEAP), Board of Public Examination, Kerala (BPEK), etc. The RRC shall adopt the Mid-Point of the Range of the Grades obtained by the Candidates. After obtaining Mid-Points of all the Attempted Subjects according to the Grades awarded, Average will be calculated treating each Subject being out of 100 Marks, as there is no standard method or multiplying factor for Calculation of Average of Matriculation for such Boards.
Methodology for Resolving TIE:
In case of Two Candidates having Equal Marks, the Candidates Senior in Age (with Older Age) shall be preferred. In case the Dates of Birth of the Candidates happened to be the same, then the Candidate, who passed Matriculation Examination / Secondary School Certificate Examination earlier shall be considered First.
