CBSE NET Application Form 2018
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), a Nodal Agency for Union Ministry of Human Resource Development shall conduct in the last week of December 2018, UGC-NET, December 2018 for Junior Research Fellowship & Eligibility for Assistant Professor.
CBSE UGC NET Online Form 2018
The Central Board of Secondary Education shall conduct the UGC – NET, December 2018 in 79 Subjects at 89 selected NET Coordinating Institutions throughout India. Eligibility for Assistant Professor only or Junior Research Fellowship & Eligibility for Assistant Professor Both at the Indian Universities and Colleges.
Scheme of HRD – UGC National Eligibility Test, December 2018:
The Central Board of Secondary Education shall conduct the NET, December 2018 based on the Subject opted for by the candidates as per following Pattern:

Procedure and Criteria for Declaring of the Result:
The University Grants Commission has determined the Minimum Qualifying Marks for the candidates to be considered eligible for being awarded Junior Research Fellowship And Eligibility for Assistant Professor as hereunder:

Step I | It is mandatory for the candidates desiring to appear in the National Educational Testing Bureau to secure the Minimum Qualifying Marks to be considered Junior Research Fellowship And Eligibility for Assistant Professor as hereinabove. |
Step ii | Amongst those candidates who have cleared Step I, Merit List would be drawn up (Subject-wise and Category-wise) by using the Aggregate Marks secured by the candidates in the above Three Papers. |
Step III | Top 15% candidates (for each Subject and Category), from the Merit List mentioned under Step II shall be declared National Educational Testing (NET) Bureau for Junior Research Fellowship And Eligibility for Assistant Professor only. |
Step IV | The University Grants Commission would draw up a Separate Merit List for awarding the Junior Research Fellowship to the candidates from amongst the NET qualified candidates figuring in the Merit List under Step III. |
Furthermore, the University Grants Commission makes the aforestated Qualifying Criteria FINAL & BINDING on the Candidates. |
Educational Qualification:
Following Educational Qualification has been prescribed as hereunder Union Ministry of Human Resource Department.
The Candidates who have appeared OR will be appearing at the Qualifying Master’s Degree (Final Year) Examination and whose result is still awaited or candidates whose qualifying examinations have been delayed are also eligible to apply for this Test. However, such candidates will be admitted provisionally and shall be considered eligible for award of Junior Research Fellowship / Eligibility for Assistant Professor only after they have qualified their Master’s Degree Examination OR equivalent with, at least, 55% Marks (50% Marks in case of Other Backward Classes (Non-Creamy Layer) / SC / ST / PwD (Persons with Disability) Category candidates. Such candidates shall be required to complete their P.G Degree Examination within Two Years from the Date of NET Result with the required Percentage of Marks, failing which they might be treated as disqualified.
The Ph.D. Degree holders whose Master’s Level Examination had been completed by 19th September 1992 (irrespective of the Date of Declaration of the Result) shall be eligible for a relaxation of 5% in aggregate Marks (i.e., from 55% to 50%) for appearing in the National Eligibility Test (NET).
Age Limit and Category wise Relaxations in Upper Age Limit (As on the Cut-off Date):
As regards the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF)
A Candidate belonging to General Category should be Maximum 28 Years of Age.
The Candidates belonging to Reserved Category (SC / ST / OBC – NCL) shall be granted Upper Age Limit Relaxable up to Five (05) Years. Relaxation will also be provided to the candidates with Research Experience, limited to the period spent on Research in the relevant / related Subject of post-Graduation Degree, subject to a Maximum of 5 years, on production of a Certificate from appropriate Authority. Three years relaxation in age will be permissible to the candidates possessing LL.M. Degree.
For Eligibility for Assistant Professor (EAP): There is No Upper Age Limit.
The Candidates declared qualified for the award of Junior Research fellowship will become eligible to receive Fellowship of University Grants Commission (UGC) under various schemes, subject to their finding placement in the Universities / Indian Institutes of Technology / institutions.
The validity period of the offer is Two (02) Years; i.e., w.e.f. the date of issue of JRF Award Letter. However, in case the candidates who have already joined M.Phil. / Ph.D., the Date of Commencement of the Fellowship shall be from the date of declaration of NET Result or Date of their Joining, whichever is later.
