Application through Online Registration commenced on the 7th Date of November 2018 (07.11.2018) with the Deadline for Online Application Forms closing on the 27th Date of November 2018 (up to 27.11.2018) followed by Submission / Mail of Duly Completed Applications annexed together with the Requisite Documents, through Registered / Speed Post befalls (Last Date for Receipt of Physical Application Format) the 3rd Date of December 2018 (03.12.2018) where the Printout of the Online Application Forms enclosed together with the Prescribed Documents into an Envelope Superscripted as “Application for the Post of Manager – Security (Post Code MMG Scale – II) in Canara Bank”.

Eligibility Criteria & Other Details [As On 01.11.2018 (Inclusive)]
All the Eligibility [Educational Qualification, Desired Qualification, Age, etc] shall be computed As On the Cut-off Date (01.11.2018 – Inclusive) mentioned hereinabove.
The Candidates must have in possession Bachelor’s Degree / Graduation in any Discipline awarded by /obtained from any University duly Recognized by the Government of India or any Equivalent Qualification recognized, as such, by the Central Government.
Upper Age Limitation:
Minimum: 25 Years; Maximum: 40 years (Inclusive of all Relaxations)
An Officer with 05-Years of Commissioned Service in the Indian Army / Indian Navy / Indian Air Force and not below the Rank of Captain or Equivalent or an Officer not below the Rank of Assistant Commandant in Para Military Forces with 05-Years’ Experience.
Job Profile for the Selected Candidates:
- Monitoring Security and Fire Safety of Canara Bank;
- Liaison with Police & other Security Officials, Training Armed Guards etc.;
- Work-Related to Development and Security Arrangements in case of Need and Allied Activities;
- Notwithstanding the above and over and above the same, any Developmental Work assigned to Him / Her based on Administrative Requirement of the Bank.
The Candidates, who have already been discharged or are currently in the Armed / Defense Services, are Eligible to apply for the Post of Manager (Security) under MMG Scale – II.
For the Selected Candidates, who are currently in the Armed / Defence Services, shall have to get discharged within 03 (Three) Months from the Date of Receipt of the Appointment Letter.
Essential – Computer Literacy:
Operating & Working Knowledge in the Computer Systems shall be an Essential Qualification, which any candidate must either possess or acquire within 06 (Six) Months from the Date of Joining the Bank.
Essential & Desired Hindi Knowledge:
The Candidates shall need to acquire the Working Knowledge of Hindi, if already not possessed, before completion of the Probationary Period.
Canara Bank shall intimate the Candidates in respect of the Change of the Center, Date, Time for Reporting among others, if any, through CanBank Website / e-Mail in advance.
CanBank Manager Security “MMG Scale” – Process for Shortlisting:
Selection for the Post of Manager – Security is on the basis of Shortlisting for Group Discussion and Interview and the Candidates’ individual Performance and the Marks awarded to them aimed at Final Merit in order to arrive at drawing up the Final Select List, hence, conducting Recommendation for Appointment in the Position.
Canara Bank reserves the Right to Shortlist the Requisite Number of the Candidates based on the Academic Track Record of the Candidate, Experience and Suitability of the Candidates, as decided by the Bank and only those Shortlisted Persons shall be called for Group Discussion and Interview.
The Candidates Shortlisted shall be informed of the Centre & Address of the Venue, Time & Date for Group Discussion and Personality Test / Personal Interview in the Call Letters issued and they shall need to report and attend for the same at their own cost.
The Details of the Shortlisted Candidates for Group Discussion and Interview will be hosted in Canara Bank Website. Request for Change of Centre will not be entertained.
However, the Bank reserves its Right to Change / Add / Cancel the Date, Time, Center, Venue for the Group Discussion and Interview and to call the Candidates for the Group Discussion and Interview at any other Center or hold Supplementary Selection Process for particular Date / Session / Venue / Centre / Set of the Candidates at its discretion, under unforeseen circumstances, if any.
The Total Marks allotted for Group Discussion and Interview are 100 each.
The Candidates shall have to secure Minimum Qualifying Marks each in Group Discussion and Interview as mentioned herebelow to be considered Eligible for Final Ranking.

Final Selection – Criteria
Final Selection will be on the basis of the Marks secured by the Candidate in interview.
Mere Eligibility / Admission toward the Group Discussion / Interview / Pass in Group Discussion / Interview does not imply that the Bank is satisfied beyond doubt about the Candidates’ Eligibility and shall not vest any Right in any Candidate for Selection.
