The Indian Air Force Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) – I / Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT) 2019 (Involving Deduction of 01 Mark for each Incorrect Answer) with AFCAT comprising 100 Multiple Choice Questions of Objective Type for Maximum 300 Marks and EKT containing 50 Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions for 150 Marks Totaling 450 Marks in both Papers.

The Air Force Selection Board shall Announce the Result for the Air Force Common Admission Test and Engineering Knowledge Test based on the Candidates’ Individual Performance and Minimum Qualifying Marks to be Obtained separately Section-wise in both Papers and In Aggregate out of 300 + 150 Marks likely towards. However, the Result for the AFCAT – I and Engineering Knowledge Test 2019 shall be Announced only subsequent to Release of the Final Answers Key for the Online Air Force Common Admission Test – I and Engineering Knowledge Test 2019 consisting of Mechanical Engineer (Paper I & Paper II), Computer Science (Papers I & II) And Electrical & Electronics (Paper I & Paper II).

Procedure for Selection:
The Candidates, Declared as Shortlisted based on the Air Force Common Admission Test – I / Engineering Knowledge Test 2019, shall be called for further Testing at one of the Air Force Selection Boards (AFSBs) in Dehradun, Mysore, Gandhinagar, Varanasi or Kancharapara. The Candidates, who opt for the Flying Branch, may opt for Dehradun, Mysore and Varanasi only. The Testing would consist of Three Stages as mentioned hereunder:
- Stage – I: Test consisting of Intelligence Test along with other Tests will be conducted on the First Day. Stage – I Test is a Screening Test and only those who Qualify, would undergo subsequent Testing. All Stage – I Qualified Candidates would be subjected to Document Check to Ascertain their Individual Eligibility for the Branches Applied for. Those Candidates, who either do not Qualify in Stage – I or fail to meet with (do not fulfill) the Required Eligibility Criteria would be sent back on the First Day itself.
- Stage-II: Testing consisting of Psychological, Group Tests and Interview will be conducted on subsequent Days spanning Five Days.
- For Flying Branch.
The Computerized Pilot Selection System (CPSS) would be Administered to the Eligible Candidates. This is once in a Lifetime Test.
The Services Selection Board Procedure consists of Two Stage Selection Process – Stage I and Stage II. Only those Candidates, who have shall be Declared having Qualified / Cleared the Stage-I, shall be permitted to Appear for Stage II as Detailed hereunder:
Intelligence & Personality Test (IPT):
would comprise Intelligence Test, Picture Perception and Discussion Test
The Candidates declared QUALIFIED in Phase I shall be allowed to appear in Phase II. The Candidates declared NOT QUALIFIED in Phase-I would be sent back.
|Phase II||shall comprise Psychological Testing, Group Testing and Interview. The Test shall be held over Four (04) days.
The Successful Candidates shall be put to Aviation Medical Examination (AME) that would be held during 03 – 05 Days.
